Meet The Innovators – I Am Ecoist

What happened to our environmentally conscious self? Where did we loose track? Was it all about convenience or were we programmed to think that way?! These are all questions that lead Divya from I am Ecoist on the start of her sustainable journey. Albert Einstein once said ‘The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking’. These words stand very true to Divya and that’s why ‘I am Ecoist’ was born.

What inspired you to create your brand? How did the business start?

When I used to live in India I used to accompany my Mum to farmers market, buying loose vegetables and fruits and bringing them home in a jute bag. Using stainless steel dinner plates, cups, lunch box, Steel bottles and reusable bags. What happened to our environmentally conscious self? I started on my journey knowing that it’s not going to be easy to make the transition but I want to do my bit to save this planet and leave a liveable planet for my children. I started the business in June 2019 after one year of research and many years of practicing sustainable living.

What makes your products special? What is the thing that separates you from your competitors?

My products are all made from high quality 304 stainless steel material. They encourage people to use less plastic and make more sustainable choices.

What about your products is sustainable and plastic free? How and what have you changed or altered to make the products zero plastic, zero waste or sustainable?

My Stainless Steel products are made responsibly from 100% high quality food-grade stainless steel and as it’s plastic free there are no nasty toxins like bisphenol-A (BPA), phthalates, and bisphenol-S (BPS) which leach into your food.

What is your best seller or favourite product in your line?

Double Lunchbox, Bamboo Cutlery and Steel Bottle are the best sellers.
