Description

SOW OUTDOORS – APRIL to MAY, AUGUST to SEPTEMBER

FLOWERS – MAY to JULY

This classic poppy is the traditional emblem of remembrance with its deep red tissue flowers.

Sow directly outdoors where they are to flower after the last frost in April or May (depending on where you are). Sow at a depth of 1/4 inch deep into well prepared, raked soil. Once the seedlings emerge, thin out seedlings as necessary to allow 10-15cm spacing between the plants. Poppies self seed so should come back year after year.

Poppies don’t like being transplanted so sow where you’d like them to flower.
